Why not? You get to work at home close to your loved ones. The pay is good, depending on your niche, of course. You need not wade through the daily traffic, and no travel and food expenses necessary.
Is V.A. Still A Lucrative Job?
Well, yes, if you start right and smart. One of the things that the pandemic brought about was that the Filipinos’ Virtual-Assistance prowess was introduced to the world en masse! It flooded the cyberworld with an unlimited virtual resource that applying for a virtual job, two years later, is tough! If you are not equipped with the virtual job know-how, you’re in for a long, rough start. I find it harder to land a VA job today than two years ago.
Things You Might Want To Consider When Considering A V.A. Job:
Is Experience Required For A VA Job?
It’s not necessary, albeit a great advantage. There are VA jobs out there that do not require experience, and they would provide free training when hired. Yes, they even pay you while you are training! Nevertheless, it is still paramount that you enroll in virtual classes from agencies such as ProVA. Ultimately, it is your ability and knowledge of the craft that is at stake. Better learn from the experts like Coach Dham and Coach Jude.
How Truthful Should My Portfolio Be?
Some VAs get away with their bloated portfolio and succeed, but others find it uncomfortable. My advice for the former is it’s okay to bend the truth a little, as most often than not, it will bite you in the ass. There’s also an underlying problem with lying: it leaves a distaste for disgruntled VA clients on future Filipino VAs. It is still best to gain knowledge from our experienced coaches. Couple that knowledge with your positive work ethics, and your success is guaranteed!
Are Training Fees Expensive?
Fees seem steep when you are job hunting and funds are limited. ProVA’s offered courses are invaluable, necessary and very affordable. They are staffed by competent and experienced coaches, and they continue to mentor trainees even after attending courses. I’m even confident to say that they will mentor you “for life”. They even encourage you to join the trainees group chat to help you in your virtual career! Not to mention the free tools ProVA will give you upon completion of training. Not bad for a reasonable price!
Are Clients Stickler For Deadlines?
Most of them are, but lenient on your first days of employment. They have to be, otherwise you’ll cripple their business. Besides, you are being paid to do the job on time. The good news is, most of the VA jobs can be done any time of the day. There are times when a week’s job can be accomplished in just a few hours, even minutes. The trick is not to procrastinate. Do the job earlier in the week and submit it on the deadline five days later! You will have quality time with your family or find another VA job! The potential is endless.
What Guarantees That I Would Be Successful As VA?
Let me enumerate the benefits after completing a VA course at ProVA as per my experience:
- You gain invaluable knowledge from competent and experienced coaches.
- You will be certified with the course and you can publish it in your portfolio.
- You will be furnished with a portfolio complete with instructions on how to.
- You will be mentored by your course coach, for life.😍
- You will be a member of a support chat group, for life.😋
- You will be armed with VA tools (most of them free) necessary for your online job.
- You will be primed for a plethora of job hunting platforms, such as OnlineJobs.Ph.
If these benefits are not a recipe for success, I don’t know what is. As Coach Jude would often quip, “Sobra ka spoon-feeding na!”
To date, I haven’t peaked my online career. I am still on that journey and the future looks promising. My wife, Gina, introduced me to the big-hearted Coach Dham in 2020 and I’ve been an avid fan since. My daughter quit her local BPO job and followed suit by working online at home. Our little business, Biancakes is benefitting from Coach Jude’s SEO course. As I accumulated enough funds in the future, I would put to use Coach Ralph’s Forex Trading course.
